My GOD. I loved this game. I think this was the first video game I ever played.
I didn't know anyone else even knew it existed. That is why this forum rocks!

I know that. Just no one has played them in so long it is cool to hear about someone who remembers this one. I love using the little guns.

[glow=green,2,300]Yeah its too bad that they did not realize that it was such a big hit. If they did there would be more games out there using the gun [/glow]

There was an Xplay episode reviewing the guns. Some games must still use them. I wish they were more popular though your right.

[glow=green,2,300]It was so easy but so fun because it felt like you were really shooting with a real gun before they came out with the new stuff. Then my dad packed it away and I did'nt find the NES untill last week ;D[/glow]

wow
you see i was old enough to play these games properly, so i literally grew up my whole life with games.
duck hunt was fun but the true elitest played skeet shooting standing the full length of the cord away (now that was challenging)
having mario on the same cartridge was also good, i mean when you arent shooting the dog (come on admit you did it!) you were jumping and crap like that

Yeah, I found that sort of weird how they combined the two. But it was a big hit in its time I beleive. That goes for both of them. Simple, fun, easy to learn for most.

[glow=green,2,300]I thought that it was a deal that they combined the two because it cost the same and it was a two for one ;D[/glow]

i think they had to... duck hunt isnt a strong enough game on its own, so having mario (which was previously released as a single title i believe) with it made it a more practical sale.

Yeah, I think it helped duck hunt become popular. I don't think a lot of people would have bought had they not thrown mario in.

Consider Duck Hunt practice... It was such a fun game.

You played it too? I didn't know you had a NES... It was fun though. Sort of like an early form of first person shooters.
